There is something special about choosing a location for senior pictures that feels like you.

For Hannah, that meant the mountains and wildflowers.

We headed up Boreas Pass in Breckenridge for her summer senior pictures, and it gave us exactly the mix we were hoping for. Quiet forest, fields of wildflowers, winding mountain roads and incredible views as the sun dropped behind the mountains.

Wildflower Senior Pictures in Breckenridge

One of my favorite things about photographing seniors in Colorado is that no two sessions have to look the same.

Hannah started in a simple white dress surrounded by wildflowers and pine trees. We wandered through the flowers, used the trees to create a little depth and softness, and let the mountain setting do what it does best.

Then she changed into jeans and a black top as we headed higher up Boreas Pass.

The entire feeling of the session changed.

The soft greens and wildflowers opened into huge mountain views, a rugged dirt road and warm evening light. As the sun started getting lower, it poured through the mountains and gave us that golden Colorado glow I will never get tired of photographing.

And Hannah absolutely came alive in it.

Senior Pictures That Feel Like You

Senior pictures should be beautiful, but more than that, I want them to feel personal.

This is such a unique season of life. The space between everything you have known and everything that comes next. Your senior session is a chance to slow down for a minute and document who you are right now.

You don’t need to know exactly how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. We can walk, explore, play with movement and let things unfold naturally.

For Hannah, that meant a little bit of everything: quiet moments tucked into the trees, wildflowers brushing against her dress, bare mountain roads, windswept hair, laughter and those enormous Breckenridge views.

Her mom’s words after receiving the gallery meant so much to me:
