The foothills are calling, and if you’re like me, that call often includes the delightful (and sometimes slightly chaotic) mission of capturing family memories through photographs. On this particular eveninig, adventure took us to the Gateway Trailhead in Golden, Colorado, and let me tell you, it was a fantastic backdrop for family pictures in Golden.
Nestled at the base of the iconic North Table Mountain, the Gateway Trailhead offers more than just access to incredible hiking and biking trails. It’s a scenic gem with a diverse landscape that lends itself beautifully to family photos. From the rugged rocks to the tree lined trails, there’s a natural beauty that elevates even the simplest snapshot.
What I loved most about the Gateway Trailhead was the variety. We found shady spots under the cottonwood trees for softer lighting, and open areas along the water with views through the canyon The gentle slope of the initial trail made it easy to move around and find different angles without too much huffing and puffing – a definite bonus when wrangling little ones!
