Engagement Session at Lost Gulch Overlook | Colorado Lifestyle Photography

Laura and Pablo reached out to schedule their winter engagement session at Lost Gulch Overlook while they were enjoying a romantic weekend getaway to Colorado.

Even though we have had a very dry winter here in the Front Range, the mountain weather had a surprise in store for us. We got incredibly lucky with a fresh dusting of snow at the top of Flagstaff Mountain. The light layer of white added that perfect “winter wonderland” touch to their portraits, contrasting beautifully against the rugged rock formations Boulder is known for.

Lost Gulch Overlook remains one of the most scenic locations for engagement pictures in Boulder. With its wide, panoramic mountain views and dramatic cliffs, it’s a “must-see” destination.

For couples like Laura and Pablo who aren’t local to Colorado, I always recommend Lost Gulch because it offers that “top of the world” feeling without requiring a hike. It’s the perfect spot to take in the scale and majesty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. And it’s absolutely magical for golden hour sunsets (and sunrises).
