For a destination wedding photographer, being invited to capture Megan and Kurt’s Villa Spadaforte Wedding in Tuscany was an absolute dream come true this summer! Megan and Kurt got ready at the villa, and had their first look in the shaded and vine covered courtyard. Then, we hopped in the car to explore the Tuscan hills nearby. And set aside some special time for just the two of them before the ceremony. The countryside surrounding Villa Spadaforte is so beautiful, we didn’t have to drive far. Back at the villa, their backyard ceremony brought tears to everyone’s eyes. And their youngest son melted everyone’s heart when we was crying happy tears afterwards. The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with the friends and family who made the journey to Italy. For some, it was their first time overseas, and it sparked a newfound love for travel.
I couldn’t have described their day any better than what Megan said, after I sent her a sneak peek. “It was never about the “wedding” because the party only lasts a day… it was about celebrating a commitment we made long ago and spending the time together and with the most important people in our lives. The wedding was beautiful and a perfect party, but the celebration was about everything it took to get here and everything we will continue to do in the future.”

And for their welcome dinner, the night before the wedding, we were treated to homemade Italian pizzas while the kids played in the pool.
