You’re just hoping for one good family picture.  I’ve heard it so many times before. You were rushing to get the kids ready and out the door on time and it s a battle to get your son to wear anything but gym shorts and your husband is not exactly thrilled about spending an hour getting his picture take either. But he does it every year for you, because he knows how much it means to you and he wants to make you happy.

Just one picture to show the world that you have it all together. Just one picture to show yourself that you are a good mom and a good wife.

You bribe the kids on the entire car ride there with candy and ice cream and toys from Target if they just behave for one hour. That’s all you ask. And you park and get out of the car and the little one wants to be carried and is feeling shy and holding onto your shirt.

And then we start, and you begin to relax, and even laugh. You forget about looking like you have it all together. You forget about looking perfect. You twirl with your daughter in he sunlight and throw your son into the air and they are happy and having fun too. The time goes by fast and on your way home you stop for ice cream at their favorite place and you even get a scoop because you deserve it.

And then your gallery gets delivered and you see it. You see how you are surrounded in love. How your kids interact and play with each other. Their goofy little personalities shining through. The breeze blowing through your daughters curls and the dimple in your sons right cheek. And your feel beautiful and blessed and thankful for this collection of moments.
