Happy 11th Birthday, Little Bear! I can’t believe you are turning 11 today.
I still laugh about the fact that when I got the email for the middle school open house in the fall, I didn’t know who it was for. But it’s you! You are going to be in 6th grade next year! And I just can’t wrap my mind around this being your last year of elementary school. My big 5th grader, top of the school. But I know we still have time…
We still have time for game nights, and snuggling on the couch, and holding hands while exploring new places. And although soon you will be the one who is picking me up, I will still hold onto you as long as I can.
Wyatt, your smile and big heart are infectious. And you give the best Wyatt hugs, so don’t every stop seeing the world the way you do. You aren’t afraid of trying new things. You love adventure. And I love watching you learn and grow.
This year, we did a little something different for your birthday pictures, and I love how you express yourself.
You still love football and video games. But it’s been fun seeing you learn to skate with rollerblades you got for Christmas. But even more than all that, you love bringing your family together for a game of Sorry! or Uno. You love playing outside with you friends, and running around the neighborhood, just being a kid.
