They all came dressed and ready to play in the snow. And the kids could get enough of it! They made so many snow angels and we had so many snowball fights.
I always recommend dressing in layers for winter sessions, because you never know what the weather is going to be like in Colorado. It’s also helpful to have some disposable hand warmers to keep in pockets and boots. The warmer your kids are during the session, the more fun we are going to have!
Winter is also the one time of year that I love bright and vibrant colors that pop against a snowy mountain background. Choose a color palette with 2-3 main colors and have everyone wear variations within that scheme. If you are going to plan to wear jackets and hats and gloves during your family session, then you can definitely coordinate all of your winter accessories. On a bright and sunny day like this one, we were all starting to shed layers by the end of the session because we never stopped moving and playing.
