It is always worth getting up at sunrise in the mountains. When Sky and I started talking about planning his surprise proposal in Breckenridge, he mentioned wanting to take his girlfriend, Sabina, on a hike. After talking through some different locations and ideas, I suggested meeting on Lake Dillon for a surprise proposal at sunrise. We timed everything so perfectly, that the sun was just starting to come up over the top of the mountain as Sky got down on one knee. And I know he truly surprised her, because she was jumping up and down. It was so sweet.
We drove up to Sapphire Point, and had the entire location to ourselves for a few more pictures. And then Sky and Sabina went to breakfast to get some food and celebrate. I met them at their AirBnb in Breckenridge a short while later, so they could get a little more dressed up and take a few more engagement pictures. It was the perfect morning.
