I think one of the BEST parts of my job as a photographer is planning surprise proposals! I am so in love! Every proposal and every couple is completely unique. But they all are filled with so much emotion and joy. And I am honored to be invited to capture it. This surprise proposal at Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder was no exception. Jonah and I were contact the days leading up to the big event because of the weather forecast. Spring snowstorms in Colorado are always unpredictable. But they leave the most magical aftermath. And Lost Gulch is one of my favorite places to go after a fresh snow.
As you can see, the fog completely enveloped us. But it was surprisingly warm, and Jonah executed his proposal to Grace flawlessly. Even though we couldn’t see the mountains, we had this winter wonderland completely to ourselves for the entire proposal and engagement session. And nothing says celebration like a champagne toast at the end!
