Sometimes you want to be in the mountains, and sometimes you want to see the mountains. If you live in Colorado, you understand. There are times when we need to escape, to leave home and search for a higher altitude of adventure. Then there are times when we need to stay grounded, to take a moment and breathe in the every day beauty. Being a Colorado Family Photographer in Erie, the mountains are in my backyard. I wake up to the mountains every morning, and I watch the sunset over the mountains every night. After ten years, I still do not take it for granted.
One of my favorite locations for family pictures with mountain views is Davidson Mesa in Louisville. If you want to stay close to home and see the mountains, there is no better place to capture the sunset. Want to know the best time to meet for a golden hour session? I usually suggest meeting one hour before sunset. We scheduled this summer session for 7PM, and we could not have asked for a better evening!
It didn’t hurt that these four have impeccable style! Susan warned me that her girls like to dress up when we scheduled their family pictures. I love how mom wore a printed floral dress with pearls, while dad and the girls complimented her outfit with black and white.
