Summer Wedding at Maroon Bells | Aspen Wedding Photographer

” We are in awe!! Photos and videos are everything we wanted and more.  The video is breathtaking!  You did an amazing job with all of this and we had such a great time lookin through this last nihgt.  We couldn’t thank you enough for all you’ve done to recreate our day.” – Natalie and Ty

It was the most beautiful day for Natalie and Ty’s Summer Wedding at Maroon Bells!  These two brought only their closest family out to Colorado for the wedding of their dreams.  They spent months on the MAROON BELLS WEBSITE, trying to secure a date.  And they finally landed on July 8.

I met Natalie and Ty and the family early in the morning, at THE GLASSHOUSE BASALT, where they were staying and getting ready.  Let me tell you, this celebrity inspired mountain retreat was stunning!  I highly recommend the venue.  Only minutes away from Ruedi Reservoir, and only a little over an hour to Maroon Bells.  This is where Natalie and Ty wanted to do their first look, too, since we would all be carpooling over to Maroon Bells for their ceremony.  Funny story, I even ended up driving Natalie and Ty to the ceremony in my truck, because there were only a limited number of parking passes.  Since this was an elopement, it was nice to spend some time just talking with them and getting to know them better in-between.

They wanted to have a late morning ceremony, to avoid any chance of afternoon thunderstorms and to have time to get back to the house for cocktails and dinner.  (Not a chance for rain on this day!). And it worked out perfectly, to get to Maroon Bells by 10:30AM, and have a couple of hours to spend there, enjoying the iconic views.  One of Ty’s grandmother’s officiated their ceremony, and it was so sweet.  I did record their full ceremony on video, as well as all of the toasts at dinner, and I also created a highlights video from their wedding day (above).  Natalie told me when I sent her the final videos that they were so thankful to have them, since the day was a blur and they couldn’t remember all the details.

After the ceremony, we took formal family portraits, and then I was able to just spend some quality time with Natalie and Ty, exploring the area.  Maroon Bells is an absolute dream to visit, and they could not have asked for a more perfect Colorado day.   Blue skies, and barely a cloud in the sky.

Back at The Glasshouse Basalt, everyone enjoyed appetizers and dinner from A-SQUARED PRIVATE CHEFS, an incredible husband and wife team out of Aspen.  I had the opportunity to taste some of the food and it was delicious!  They also have worked several times at The Glasshouse Basalt, so it was nice that they were comfortable in the kitchen.

Natalie and Ty had their first dance out on the balcony, just as the sun was starting to set on their perfect Aspen wedding day.

Congratulations again Natalie and Ty!
