I adored meeting Jessica and her family for their dreamy summer family pictures at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge. Sapphire Point is by far one of my most requested locations, all year long. It’s a must see for anyone visiting Colorado on vacation.
Looking for more tips to plan your family session in the mountains?
- Golden Hour Magic: The hour before sunset offers soft, warm lighting, creating a dreamy atmosphere for your photos. However, in the mountains, the sun sets earlier at different locations. We will decide the best time to meet based on the location you choose.
- Weekday Wonders: If possible, schedule your session on a weekday to avoid crowds and enjoy a more serene environment.
- Weather Watch: Check the weather forecast. A clear, sunny day is ideal, but light clouds can add drama to your photos. And Colorado is prone to afternoon rain showers. If there is rain in the forecast, I will reach out to see if we need to adjust the timing of your session.
Outfit Coordination
- Color Palette: Choose a color scheme that complements the mountain scenery. Soft pastels, neutrals, and earth tones often work well.
- Comfort is Crucial: Opt for clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move freely. We will be walking around, and I want you to be able to freely play with your kids.
- Family Style: Coordinate your outfits without matching exactly. A cohesive look is desirable.
