Last weekend I was invited into this family’s home to tell a very special story…
You see, this family is in the process of creating their adoption portfolio book. For those of you not familiar with the adoption process, this book is given to prospective birth mothers as a way of introducing the family. It is also how the family makes their first impression.
Chester and Brandy are already parents to two beautiful girls, Lilyahna and Charlotte. However, Brandy shared with me that it has always been in their hearts to adopt. So last Saturday, I spent the morning with them in their new home, getting to know their family, and documenting their love. We read a book in the playroom. We had a tickle fight on the couch. We played at the park with the gorgeous flower girl dresses, and then we took a walk around the neighborhood.
The best part of the day for me, was when Lilyahna and Charlotte both ran outside of the house to give me goodbye hugs and kisses! I can’t wait to follow up with the rest of their story when their new baby comes home. It is such an honor to be a part of their adoption journey…
