Shelby dreamed of a winter wonderland for her Sleigh Ride Engagement Session. She found one of my previous sleigh ride surprise proposal sessions online, and told me that she fell in love with them instantly. “I am a horse girl and felt I needed this in my bones.” So her and Darrin planned a weekend trip to Colorado, and reserved a private romantic sleigh ride. And, on a cold day in January, I met Shelby and Darrin at Golden Horseshoe Sleigh Rides.

We waited and warmed up by the outdoor fire pit while we waited for their sleigh to be ready. And then we headed off through the snow covered woods on an adventure. The guides at Golden Horseshoe Sleigh Rides are incredible, and our guide shared some of the history of the area and told us about the horses, too. Then we stopped at an overlook, where we could get out of the sleigh and take pictures. The sun even peeked out of the clouds enough to warm us up a bit. After the sleigh ride, we headed inside the warming tent for a cup of hot cocoa, and it was the perfect end to the afternoon.
