The end of the school year is approaching, and it is graduation time! Congratulations Class of 2017! As a Colorado senior photographer, shooting an equestrian senior portrait session was definitely on my bucket list. What could be more fun than taking senior pictures with your horse?
Like many little girls, I was always fascinated with horses. When I was young, I remember coming out to Colorado on a family vacation. Anytime we went anywhere with horses, I always asked my parents to go riding. Now my own kids share the same excitement for these beautiful creatures. There is a horse farm right in the middle of our neighborhood, and on sunny afternoons I take my kids to play with their friends at the “horse park.”
So naturally, I was very excited to meet Kayleigh and Voodoo at Mounting Miracles Ranch in Lafayette. I took Kayleigh’s senior pictures at Chautauqua Park in Boulder last fall. This time, we decided to meet one hour before sunset at “the barn,” as she affectionately calls it. She spent many early mornings and late nights here during her senior year. The perfect place to take seniors pictures with her horse, before graduating from Monarch High School.
