I had so much fun helping James plan this Sapphire Point Winter Surprise Proposal for his fiancé Kristin!! They were in town enjoying a ski holiday from Baton Rouge. And James’ biggest concern was how he was going to have to drag Kristin off the mountain early on the day of the proposal. These two came to Colorado to enjoy every minute of the Colorado lifestyle. Luckily, Sapphire Point is a popular destination, for both visitors and surprise proposals! Just outside of Breckenridge, Sapphire Point is .6 mile loop trail that is known for its overlook and mountain views.
James and Kristin took an Uber from downtown Breckenridge up to the scenic lookout. And they were dressed, ready to go out for dinner afterwards. (If your are looking for restaurant recommendations, Briar Rose and Hearthstone in Breckenridge are two of the most popular places to make a reservation after the proposal). It’s always nice to have a reason to dress up. Especially for a surprise proposal and engagement session in the mountains! After James proposed on the path, we walked down to the Sapphire Point Overlook to take celebratory engagement pictures. We made sure they could get an Uber back into town, and then finished the session exploring the rest of the trail.
