Baby Asher was just 6 weeks old when we met for his outdoor newborn session in Boulder. Ironically, their Maternity Session in Boulder was my last session before Colorado went under the Stay-At-Home order in March. And I have been getting to know this sweet family ever since they were pregnant with their oldest son, Liam. As an Outdoor Newborn & Family Photographer, I recommend scheduling your session in the early morning hours or in the evening around sunset for the best lighting. The great thing about lifestyle newborn sessions, is your baby does not have to be sleeping or posed to capture real moments.
We had the perfect evening at Wonderland Lake for Asher’s newborn session, and Liam had fun exploring the trail. And of course we had to take some time to throw rocks into the water. Liam is a true Colorado kid who enjoys the outdoors. Baby Asher was also happy to be outside in the fresh air. He was very relaxed and content the entire evening. And he finally started to doze off in mom’s arms on the walk back to the car.
