As a Longmont Maternity Photographer, I have checked out many of the more popular locations between Boulder and Longmont. But this location was very special and unique. Mat and Megan took me back to the place where they got married. Almost three years ago, they were saying their vows in front of their closet family and friends. And they couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate their growing family. It was a beautiful setting, and we got lucky with one of the warmest days of the month. It’s hard to believe the day after their maternity session, this place was covered in snow!
We planned Mat and Megan’s session when she was 31 weeks. I recommend scheduling maternity pictures between 30-32 weeks. And Megan looked absolutely radiant in her blue maternity dress and heels! This is their first baby, and even they don’t know if it’s a boy a girl. They wanted to keep it a surprise. Megan has been very open about their journey and struggles with infertility. She even started a blog to share with their family and friends. Amazingly, when the couple tried IVF for the first time in August, it worked! Megan shared with me, with all the planning and preparation that goes into IVF, they wanted to be able to keep just a little bit of mystery in their pregnancy. I can’t wait to find out if they have a healthy baby boy or baby girl in April…
