Happy first birthday, Emerson! I am so thankful that I have been able to be a part of her first year. From her mom and dad’s maternity session, to newborn pictures, 6 month old milestones. And now her first birthday pictures and cake smash. It’s been a joy watching Emerson grow into a sweet little lady over this past year, for this Lafayette Colorado Family Photographer.
We were lucky enough to capture some of the spring blossoms before the May snow storms hit for their family session. Megan shared with me she wanted Emerson’s first birthday to be all about girly girl things. Before her baby girl grows up to be a tomboy. But maybe we should have started with the smash cake first, because that was DEFINITELY Emerson’s favorite part! She LOVED playing in the pink frosting, and wasted no time getting messy.
