As a Frederick & Firestone Colorado Newborn Photographer, I was so excited to meet baby Ethan! I had such a good time photographing his parents at YA YA APPLE ORCHARD for their maternity session in the spring. I should have known that baby Ethan would be as easy going and happy as his parents, during his newborn session. All three of them are such a joy to photograph!
We took most of Ethan’s newborn pictures in his nursery, which had the best morning light. Mom, Aurelia, ordered the custom blue swaddle with his name on it for the photoshoot. And I also brought the arrow swaddle with me from ROCK DOT KIDS, that fit in perfectly with his nursery theme. Honestly, one of my favorite pictures from his newborn session is the picture of Ross swaddling Ethan on the floor of the nursery. As a first time dad, Ross is an EXPERT swaddler. I joked with him that he could be hired for all of my future newborn sessions! Ethan was so snuggly in his newborn wraps that he slept peacefully through almost his entire newborn session. But I did get one or two pictures with his eyes open.
At the end of the session, Grandma and Grandpa pulled up to the house, and with a quick change of the shirt, we were able to include some family pictures with them, too! Congratulations Aurelia and Ross! I know how special Ethan is to you, and he is absolutely beautiful! I look forward to capturing his first year milestones as he grows. It will be amazing how much he changes in 6 months, and hopefully you two will be getting some more sleep!
