Happy First Birthday, Matilda! I met this sweet family at Fall Mini Sessions last year at YA YA Apple Orchard. Baby Matilda, was only a little over 2 months old then. And now we are celebrating her first birthday! We met at NCAR, for her First Birthday Cake Smash in Boulder. And I am so in love with this session! The haze from the Colorado wildfires, gave a warm glow to the evening sky. And we had so much fun playing and exploring along the trail. Of course, Matilda and big sister Phoebe’s favorite part had to be the end of the session. When mom and dad busted out the adorable owl smash cake. Phoebe did give her little sister a few moments, before she had to come in and help taste test the cake. The girls both basically destroyed the cake, so I think it’s safe to say, it was delicious. Smash cakes always bring so much joy (and sugar rush)!
