What you may not realize, if you’ve never had a session with me, is I do provide a lot of direction from behind the camera. They are just prompts that encourage movement and expression. This is your time to spend with your family. Uninterrupted. And the more you interact with each other, play with each other, and express your love and affection. The better the overall experience.
Because I am just a stranger, the first time we meet. You don’t need to look at me and smile at me the entire time, because we may have only just met. The real people you should be focusing on during this time is your family. And don’t worry, we will still get a posed, “everyone look at the camera shot,” too. But I want you to walk away from your session with real memories of the time you spent together.
