I love the story of these family pictures in Boulder. A few weeks before Christmas, Matt called my office and asked about purchasing a family portrait gift certificate. He wanted to completely surprise his wife on Christmas morning. (Which he pulled off, by the way). What’s so cool about this story, is it was their first time ever taken family pictures. And Matt’s parents were also in town visiting from out of state. So when we chatted about picking a location for family pictures in Boulder, I suggested NCAR. And we couldn’t have gotten any luckier with the weather, on the last Friday in December.
It was a sunny, warm, and a little bit windy morning. With just a hint of snow left on the ground from Christmas. The little boy Macsen, especially liked exploring and climb on all of the rocks. And his sister, Amira, couldn’t help but smile when her dad held her high up in the air. One of the best parts about this location is the free weather museum inside (and bathrooms). NCAR is such a family friendly place to visit or go hiking. And it has easily become one of my favorite places for family pictures in Boulder.
