Surprise! It’s a baby girl. When I met Mat and Megan for their MATERNITY SESSION, they didn’t know if they were having a boy or a girl. Congratulations you two, because she is absolutely beautiful! As an Erie Colorado Maternity & Newborn Photographer, there’s so much excitement an anticipation at the maternity session. And then comes the absolute joy and wonder (and exhaustion) of those first weeks at home. Sweet baby Emerson was born in April, on one of the windiest days I can ever remember in Colorado. We scheduled her newborn pictures just after her two week checkup. She was the sweetest and sleepiest newborn baby girl during her pictures. It was so difficult to narrow down my favorites…
This at home newborn session has absolutely everything that I love. The moments with mom and dad, details of the nursery, and all of those precious newborn features. One of my favorite decorations are her crib sheets. I love you “to the moon and back.” Mat and Megan put together the perfect gender neutral nursery to welcome their baby girl home. And since they didn’t know if they were having a boy or girl, I made sure to bring along some of my favorite girly newborn wraps and blankets to share, too. I am sure there will be a lot of shopping trips in Emerson’s future.
