Engagement Pictures in Breckenridge | Colorado Lifestyle Photography

These Engagement Pictures in Breckenridge were record breaking! As in, the coldest session I’ve ever had to date! The high for the day was only about 7 degrees. But Ravali and Hemanth were only going to be in Breckenridge for one day. And they flew all the way from North Carolina for engagement pictures in the snow. So we worked with the weather we were given! I brought along lots of hand warmers and foot warmers for them to stick in their boots and hide in pockets and under Ravali’s dresses (which they said were lifesavers). And a huge fur blanket to wrap up in between moments. We did lots of moving and lots of snuggling to stay warm(ish). And we broke up their session into three locations, so we also had time to warm up in our cars in between.

We started in downtown Breckenridge, meeting outside of the Chopping Block Salon, where Ravali had gotten her hair and makeup done. It was the perfect spot to park and walk the two blocks down to Main Street Breckenridge. I love the area around the Blue River Plaza for pictures, too.

Then we drove over to Sapphire Point for part two of their session. Sapphire Point is one of the most popular locations for engagement pictures in Breckenridge. And on this cold day, we had the place almost entirely to ourselves, which almost never happens. It was incredible! Ravali and Hemanth are getting married in April in India, but they wanted to bring their wedding rings along for a few pictures while they were dressed up. So they exchanged rings, too.

Finally, we ended their session at Officer’s Gulch. And Ravali looked stunning twirling in her blue dress in the snow. I cannot thank these two enough for braving the elements and creating the most beautiful moments together.

When the weather forecast is below freezing for your session, I will always reach out ahead of time, to see if there is another day during your vacation that we can make work. In this case, they knew what the weather was going to be and wanted to still have their session, so we prepared as best we could to stay safe and not be out in the elements for an extended period of time. I may not be able to control the weather, but I always want you to have the best possible experience!
