I absolutely adored meeting this family for an outdoor newborn session this fall. Baby Henley was just 6 weeks old, when I met her family and grandparents for their Wash Park Family Pictures. It was extra special to be able to include Nana and Grandpa, because they were visiting from out of state. As mom told be when we started talking, “Life is blurry these days but we are happy!!! We need something to capture this time and these ages.” As a Denver Newborn & Family Photographer, I can totally relate. I remember the first 6 weeks after bring Wyatt home from the hospital feeling the hardest. Or what I should say is, I actually don’t remember much from that time. Adjusting to being a mom of two, and trying to balance it all while being completely and utterly sleep deprived is no small feat.
But this young family took it all in stride beautifully. During the session we made time for the snacks, and the tears, and the baby needed to be fed. It was real life. Because while every day isn’t perfect and every day isn’t extraordinary. When you look back on a collection of moments, that is when you can see the true beauty and magic in the life you have created.
