I have been looking forward to this extended family session, ever since they purchased a gift certificate at Christmas. All we needed was a gorgeous spring sunset and for all the family to be in town. You see, the grandparents moved from Arizona last year. A very good move, if you ask me! They came to Erie, to enjoy the Colorado lifestyle with their grandchildren. And to celebrate their new house, we decided to take family pictures at Davidson Mesa in Louisville.
If you have never been to Davidson Mesa Open Space in Louisville, please add it to your Colorado bucket list! The open space is even attached to a dog park, if you want to bring along your four-legged friend. In my opinion, it has some of the best views of the Flat Irons, without having to drive all the way into Boulder. Not to mention, trying to find parking at Chautauqua this summer. And when the sun starts to set behind the mountains, magic happens. Taking family pictures at Davidson Mesa in Louisville is definitely one of my top recommendations, especially at sunset.
