We had a beautiful day for this Colorado National Golf Club Wedding. It was a small and intimate wedding for Michelea and Tim. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, this bride and groom said their vows on the lawn of the Colorado National Golf Club with the hazy mountains in the distance. As a Colorado Intimate Weddings & Elopement Photographer, I was honored to be a part of their story.

Michelea and Tim dated in high school, and after graduation, their lives went separate ways. She married and raised her children overseas. He also married and made a life with his wife in Texas. After both losing their spouses, Tim tracked Michelea down and they started talking a couple years ago and rekindled their romance. It is an incredible story that they shared with me over coffee at Ziggi’s in Erie, accompanied by two of Michelea’s grandchildren. And so their love story continues after all of these years.
It was very important to Michelea on her wedding day to make her family part of the ceremony. She wanted to capture the simple joys of everyone gathered together. Her brother John, a Rabbi, officiated the ceremony. He began by playing a song on Tim’s father’s vintage guitar, “Zeh Dodi – This Is My Beloved.” Michelea’s two son’s walked her down the aisle, with big smiles on their faces. It was an emotional ceremony filled with laughter and tears. And all of the guests cheered when Tim broke the glass. Afterward, they were joined by their family and friends for an intimate reception at the Colorado National Golf Club.
