I had so much fun on this summer adventure in Santa Barbara. As a California Lifestyle & Destination Photographer, it was magical capturing Quinn’s first trip to the ocean with her big sister Sydney. This beautiful Colorado family invited me along on their California vacation, and we spent the day together in Santa Barbara. There are so many beautiful places to visit as a Santa Barbara Family Photographer. I met the R family at MESA LANE STEPS in the late morning. This hidden gem was the perfect spot to capture the excitement of the ocean. And it didn’t take long before the whole family was playing in the waves and getting splashed. The ocean water really is that blue on a sunny day in Santa Barbara. We really lucked out with the perfect morning for family pictures on the beach.
Jamie LOVES palm trees, so after Mesa Lane Steps we headed to East Beach in Santa Barbara. The family did a quick change of outfits in the car, and I just love their sunglasses! They were definitely feeling the beach vibes. East Beach is a popular destination for tourists, with its sandy beach, palm trees, blue water and boardwalk. It’s all playtime when you are on a beach vacation in California, and Sydney and Quinn were doing cartwheels in the sand.
After family pictures, the five of us walked to EAST BEACH TACOS for the best lunch! This little hole in the wall taco place next to the batting cages had a line out the door. They were delicious, and the chips and guac were the perfect ending to our fun afternoon!
