A year ago I was sharing Olivia’s sweet mountain newborn session, and now we are already celebrating her first birthday! It was only fitting that we scheduled a fun cake smash in the mountains with this little princess. Golden Gate Canyon State Park is one of the family’s favorite places to go hiking. So we met at Panorama Point and drove down to find a less crowded trailhead for Olivia’s cake smash. We didn’t want her to have to share with any hungry animals or tourists. Just kidding! I love being a Colorado mountains family photographer, and meeting families at their treasured mountain spots. It is always such a breath of fresh air to gain a little elevation!
Of course, it’s Golden Gate Canyon State Park, so we found a gorgeous field with some shade from the aspen trees, and just let Olivia have fun! She loved her yummy smash cake from Sweets Ice Cream in Erie. It was a special treat!
