Kristen and Thomas met during the pandemic through match.com. They met outside at a park in Denver, and Thomas told me even though there were a lot of people at the park, the only person he could see was Kristen. They hit it off immediately, and have been inseparable since! Thomas proposed over Thanksgiving dinner. With the pandemic still in full swing, it was just the two of them. But that didn’t stop Kristen from cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner with all of the fixings.
After finding out they were pregnant with their son, Kristen and Thomas decided to elope in Breckenridge. And they contacted me to photograph their Breckenridge Courthouse Elopement. These two love spending time in the mountains, and they wanted an intimate day that was just about them. Although they do plan on having a big celebrating with family and friends after the baby arrives in the spring.
They eloped on a sunny summer morning. We met at the courthouse, and walked over to a little park to have views of Peak 8 in the background. Their ceremony was officiated by Gretchen Abernathy, and she was absolutely delightful. After the short ceremony, Kristen and Thomas wanted to keep it simple and just about the two of them. So we captured some more moments in the park and then walked back over to the courthouse so they could sign their marriage license.
It was an honor for me to be invited to their very intimate marriage ceremony, and I wish Kristen and Thomas the best!
