Fourteen years ago this month, I packed up the car with my dog, Capri, a few boxes of clothes and pictures, and drove west. I was following a boy, and chasing a dream, of starting a new life in Colorado. We landed in a tiny 500 square foot apartment in Silverthorne, Colorado, and found jobs making minimum wage. I learned to ski that winter, and I fell in love with the mountains and the Colorado lifestyle. Now here we are, fourteen years later, and that boy and I have made our dreams come true. We are teaching our own kids how to ski. And spending time together in the mountains is at the heart of our family. As a Breckenridge Colorado Lifestyle Photographer, I love sharing my passion for the Colorado lifestyle with all of the families I meet.
This family all gathered at their vacation home on Peak 7 for the holidays. Marita shared with me before their session that while they love spending time at the house, they had never taken family pictures here. And with their first grandchild being born this year, it was the perfect time to celebrate. Isn’t she the sweetest little snow baby?
