ASPEN, COLORADO

Number one on the list of Best Locations for Fall Family Pictures has to be Aspen, Colorado. The entire town is surrounded by aspen trees, and I have some secret locations that aren’t as crowded as Maroon Bells (and they do not require reservations). If you have never been to Aspen in the fall, you should add it to your bucket list.

FRISCO, COLORADO

Summit County has my heart all year round, and it is also a great place to see the aspens. The Rainbow Lake Trail in Frisco has to be one of my favorites for fall color in Summit County. Just note that weekdays are best because there is limited parking at this location, especially in the fall.

ESTES PARK, COLORADO

I couldn’t have a list of the Best Locations for Fall Family Pictures in Colorado without mentioning Estes Park. It’s one of my family’s favorite fall destinations to see the Elk, too! And I just love this secluded aspen grove, just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.

GUANELLA PASS, COLORADO

And last but not least, is Guanella Pass, Colorado. Guanella Pass is a destination in itself for leaf peepers in the fall. And over the years, I have found the perfect location along the route to pull off for some vibrant and fun family pictures.
